Terms of service

These terms apply to everyone who uses LikePact: creators, brands and their team members. They are an agreement between you and LikePact, based in Slovenia (“LikePact”, “we”). By creating an account, you accept them.

We may change features, fees and these terms. We’ll email you about material changes at least 30 days before they take effect.

1. What LikePact does

1.1 LikePact is a platform where creators license their likeness to brands for AI-generated content. Brands upload assets they made with their own tools. LikePact checks each asset against the licence, asks the creator to approve it, and labels and signs approved assets.

1.2 LikePact doesn’t generate content. We aren’t a party to the licence between a creator and a brand, except as the platform that records it and handles payment.

2. Accounts

2.1 You must be at least 18, and able to enter a binding contract.

2.2 You must give accurate information and keep your sign-in details secure. You’re responsible for activity on your account.

2.3 A brand account can create an organisation and invite members. The organisation’s admins decide who has access, and are responsible for their members’ use.

3. Creators

3.1 You may only license your own likeness. You confirm you have the right to do so, and that no existing contract, such as an agency or exclusivity deal, prevents it.

3.2 We verify creators before they can accept licence requests.

3.3 You set your standing terms: channels, territories, excluded categories, minimum fee, maximum term and hard no’s. Brands can only request licences within them.

3.4 You decide on every asset. Requests you don’t answer within 72 hours expire, and expiry is never approval.

4. Brands

4.1 You may only publish Approved Assets: the exact files a creator approved through LikePact, within the licence’s channels, territories, categories and term.

4.2 You must not use a creator’s likeness, reference photos or style profile outside an active licence. That includes training or fine-tuning AI models, unless the licence expressly allows it.

4.3 You remain responsible for your content and for complying with the law where you publish it. That includes advertising rules, platform policies and AI disclosure duties such as Article 50 of the EU AI Act. LikePact’s labels, C2PA signatures and records help you meet those duties. They don’t replace them.

4.4 You must keep the AI label and provenance on Approved Assets, and not knowingly remove them.

5. Licences, revocation and takedown

5.1 Each licence is an agreement between the creator and the brand. It’s made on LikePact’s licence terms, plus the scope both of them accept in the app.

5.2 A creator may revoke a licence with 30 days’ notice. From notice, nothing new can be approved. Assets already approved stay usable for the rest of their term.

5.3 If an asset is used outside its licence, the brand must remove it from every channel under its control within 48 hours of notice. We may suspend the brand’s account while we investigate.

6. Fees, payments and escrow

6.1 Creators pay no subscription. LikePact keeps 15% of each licence fee.

6.2 Brands pay the fees of their plan as shown on our pricing page, plus each creator’s licence fee.

6.3 Licence fees are held in escrow by our payment provider and released to the creator when the asset is approved. Fees for requests that are declined or expire are refunded to the brand.

6.4 Prices exclude VAT unless stated otherwise. Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled, and you can cancel at any time with effect from the end of the current period.

7. Acceptable use

You must not:

• upload content that is illegal or sexual, or that depicts anyone without their consent;
• impersonate anyone;
• try to get around licence checks or approval;
• probe, scrape or disrupt the service;
• use LikePact to harass, defame or deceive.

8. Intellectual property

8.1 Creators keep all rights in their likeness. Brands keep their rights in their content, subject to the creator’s rights under the licence.

8.2 LikePact owns the platform and its software. You may use them only as these terms allow.

9. Suspension and termination

9.1 You can close your account at any time. Licences in force continue to apply to Approved Assets for the rest of their term.

9.2 We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or the law, or that puts creators, brands or LikePact at risk. Where we can, we’ll give notice first.

10. Liability

10.1 We provide LikePact with reasonable skill and care, but we don’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

10.2 We aren’t liable for how a brand uses content, or for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us in that period, or €100 if that is greater.

10.3 Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.

11. Privacy

How we handle personal data is described in our privacy policy.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Slovenia. Disputes are settled by the competent court in Ljubljana, unless you’re a consumer with the right to bring a claim where you live.
